Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager, T-7A Aft Integrated Product Team Leader (Level M) to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, Missouri.

The T-7 Red Hawk is a state-of-the-art trainer being developed for the U.S. Air Force. This all-new training platform brings advanced training capabilities to prepare pilots for fifth-generation combat. The T-7 delivers leading-edge technology that will revolutionize pilot training.

Our team is looking for a leader skilled with program management discipline, easily able to navigate a fast-paced program, strong collaboration skills, and brings a great attitude that can successfully lead a complex assignment while partnering with a key supplier counterpart to make the T-7 program successful.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team and development of project plans, and deliverables in support of daily program execution.  This position leads the Aft integrated product team (IPT) to meet cost, schedule, quality and technical objectives to ensure customer requirements are achieved.

The T-7 program is a fast-paced environment with a long runway requiring multiple rate breaks to meet our customer demands and this role will play a critical role in ensuring we achieve those plans with first time Quality Aft deliveries on time.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities: 

•      Manage the day-to-day execution and performance of Integrated Product Teams including Deployed Functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) members (managers & individual contributors)

•      Drive execution in alignment with programmatic priorities for the Aft

•      Develop and maintain relationships with Saab Sweden & West Lafayette

•      Coordinate cross-functional planning, scheduling, and execution of Aft related elements including delivery of quality Afts on time, technical engineering deliverables on time, Interface Coordination Notice (ICN) coordination, change management, test support etc.

•      Works with Saab to implement rate readiness in support of the program rate break strategy

•      Generate and present execution metrics / performance-to-plan predictive indicators including proactive risk mitigation and opportunity realization

•      Coordinate across Integrated Product Team (IPT), customer and supplier

•      Support periodic (weekly/monthly/quarterly) programmatic reviews

•      Responsible and accountable for control accounts within the organization performing test execution

•      Perform risk, issue and opportunity management

Key Skills/Experiences Required:

  • Strong leadership, ability to lead cross functional teams
  • Risk, issues, and supplier management - identify, mitigate, and report risks/opportunities; manage internal and external supplier performance and corrective actions.
  • Experience with Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO)
  • Control Account Manager Experience - Program and contract execution (cost, schedule, Earned Value Management (EVM) - track and drive cost, schedule, and performance to deliver packages on time and on budget.
  • Systems integration and technical execution — translate requirements into integrated technical solutions, oversee integration activities, and ensure first‑time quality of deliverables.
  • Stakeholder leadership — build and maintains supplier & customer interfaces, communicates effectively across levels, and staff & coach the team to meet program needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with any of the following: Project/Program Management, Procurement, Supplier Program Management, Engineering, Production Engineering, and/or Supplier Quality
  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and working with senior leadership
  • Experience in Program Management including cost, schedule and technical management
  • Experience in driving risk/issue/opportunity (RIO) items to closure through stakeholder coordination and action tracking
  • Experience translating data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master's degree or higher preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience with project management and the ability to self-manage projects
  • Demonstrated experience in supplier management
  • Strong business acumen and relationship skills needed to build partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers
  • Experience driving affordability and production system improvements at scale to achieve rate increases
  • Strong Communication skills

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Summary pay range: $204,000 - $252,000
