Job Description

About Tessera Labs

Tessera Labs is redefining how enterprises adopt and operationalize Artificial Intelligence. Backed by Foundation Capital and a16z and led by a world-class founding team, we build multi-agent AI systems that automate complex business workflows across platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, Snowflake, MuleSoft, and more.

Our mission is to bring real AI automation to the enterprise—delivering speed, precision, and measurable impact. We operate with extreme ownership, move quickly, and build at the frontier of applied AI. Our Mosaic AI platform captures and retains system knowledge within the enterprise, reducing dependency (and spend) on third parties and contractors as the enterprise systems evolve.

About the Role

Tessera Labs is looking for an experienced Office Manager to own the day-to-day operations of our New York office. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in creating a well-run and welcoming workplace, and enjoys wearing many hats. You'll be the backbone of our office experience — from keeping day-to-day operations running seamlessly to planning and executing high-impact internal and external events.

This role is ideal for someone with strong instincts for anticipating needs before they become problems, who takes ownership without needing to be asked twice, and who genuinely enjoys helping a team run smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Manage all aspects of office operations, including ordering and stocking supplies, kitchen/pantry management, and general office upkeep

  • Coordinate furniture upgrades, installs, and office layout changes, working with vendors and building management as needed

  • Partner with operations team on the planning and execution of company events, team offsites, holiday parties, and other employee experience initiatives

  • Partner with Communications, Go-to-Market, and executive leadership to coordinate high-visibility external events, including executive dinners, customer roundtables, investor gatherings, and conference-related activations attended by CIOs, venture capitalists, customers, and strategic partners

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities issues, vendor relationships, and building management

  • Provide administrative and executive support as needed, including scheduling, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence

  • Manage office budget for supplies, events, and operational needs

  • Own the onboarding experience for new hires from a workplace/logistics standpoint (desk setup, equipment, welcome materials)

  • Anticipate office needs proactively and troubleshoot issues before they escalate

  • Jump in wherever needed — priorities shift quickly here, and this role requires flexibility and a "no task too small" mindset

  • Help maintain a positive, organized, and energizing office culture

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in office management, administrative support, or executive support

  • Demonstrated success planning and executing both internal employee events and executive-facing external events

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams—including Communications, Marketing, Go-to-Market, or Executive Leadership—to deliver polished, high-touch experiences

  • Experience managing office logistics: ordering/stocking supplies, coordinating furniture installs and upgrades, vendor management

  • A high level of drive, autonomy, and ownership — you don't wait to be told what to do

  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude

  • Comfortable shifting priorities quickly in a dynamic, fast-moving environment

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to work onsite in our New York City office

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting a growing startup or high-growth company

  • Familiarity with office management tools (e.g., booking systems, expense tools, HRIS platforms)

  • Experience with light project management or cross-functional coordination
