Fabrication Specialist Team Lead

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Fabrication Specialist Team Lead to join our Interiors Responsibility Team in Ladson, South Carolina on 1st shift.

This role offers an exciting opportunity within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Team members will leverage their prior experience, and the knowledge gained from training and certifications to complete daily assigned tasks effectively.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform machine set-up and fabrication tasks

• Perform composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks

• Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components

• Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products

• Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests

• Perform basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation

• Apply routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements

• Work on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Ladson, SC.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures

• 1+ year of Formal or Informal leadership experience

• 1+ year of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications

• 1+ year of experience following detailed work instructions, reading, and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Demonstrates strong effective communication skills

• Strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned tasks/work
