The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for working with the Branch Manager to support the day-to-day branch operations, initially with a full focus on warehouse operations, and then the entire branch including sales, customer service, and technical aspects of the business. The Assistant Branch Manager must lead by example, ensuring that safety, company guidelines and best practices are being implemented at their branch location.
This position will serve our Rheem Northeast Distribution, located in Egg Harbor, NJ.
- Oversee all warehouse operations including shipping and receiving, order picking, and customer deliveries
- Continuously learn and grow other areas of the business based on succession planning
- Maintain a clean and orderly branch to ensure safety, protect against loss, and represent the company in a professional manner
- Work with team members to ensure accuracy of inventory and complete cycle counts
- Participate in programs designed to learn and grown in the role
- Provide excellent customer service, internally and externally
- Work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure consistency in branch culture and communication
- Train and mentor team to support ongoing development and growth
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but not required
- Be able to relocate or travel within 60 miles of current branch location.
- 2 or more years in a leadership role in operations or similar area of business required
- Prior HVAC-related experience a plus
- Excellent people management skills, including employee relations, recruiting, training, coaching and development
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to own and lead projects
- Ability to collaborate and work independently
- Highly motivated with a result focus and strong drive for success
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Teams, and Excel

Equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills may supplement above minimum job requirements.
The pay scale for this position $65,900 - $113,940. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance and internal equity, among other qualifying criteria.
